 | Summer SchoolWant to get a head start on the 2010/2011 school year? SCS offers many chances to do just that in a low-key, flexible environment during the summer months. This year, our campus and dorms will be open from July 12 to August 27, 2010. Students can enroll in the following programs on a weekly basis for any number of weeks up to the full seven weeks. An F-1 visa is required for international students who register for summer school. Credit Make-Up Program, for grades 9-12: This is a supervised independent study program for making up missing credits or replacing low grades. It runs Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. throughout the summer (with a one-hour lunch break). For local students the cost is $600.00 per week, plus the cost of curriculum. For international students, the cost is $900.00 per week, plus the cost of curriculum. We also offer an intensive credit make-up course for international students only. It runs Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. (with one hour breaks for lunch and dinner) and costs $1,300.00 per week. Please click here for more information on our Credit Make-Up Program. Intensive ESL Program, for grades 7-12: Increase your English ability in time for the regular school year! Intensive ESL classes will run Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. throughout the summer (with a one-hour lunch break). The cost is $300.00 per week. Dormitory/American Homestay, for grades 7-12: Our dormitory or host homes are available during the summer school season. The cost is $300.00 per week for either option. The dormitory includes three meals per day during the weekday, wireless Internet access and the chance to get to know other students from all over the world! There are no meals served all day on Saturday and Sunday. The first meal served on the weekend is Sunday dinner. Host homes give students an intimate view of American culture and include meals and transportation to/from school.
